Horses!

Sarah wasn't too sure what to make of these things... BIG dogs???

One of my work aquantances gave me some much needed legal advice - and while we were talking about that - she mentioned she was selling her farm, and her horses. I offered to come take some pictures for her - and so me and the girls headed out.
I loved it.And I have alot to learn.
It was sunny...and I ended up with a lot of really dark horses with REALLY pretty backgrounds! But I had fun... and that's the name of the game for me:
This was Tori's favorite part...
This was mine...she had 3 pretty babies!
Now...this one was a ham... let me tell you!
I started to whiten her teeth... it's her best picture you know.... but I thought the natural look was more 'her'...
This particular stallion was tearing down his stall to get out...seems he's had a couple busy nights...and wasn't to happy at being caged in away from the girls... he was a beauty though...
and I had to play a bit...
And last baby picture....

She's walking...and walking....
Sarah is walking so much. I mean all over the place. And poor Princess... sarah takes such delight in crawling over her, and walking by her and just teasing the mess out of her. It's hilarious.
I shot prom pictures of Brandon and his date...and their friends today. It was an interesting... experience. Like trying to herd cats...lol...throw in all the parents with THEIR cameras...and...ummmm... TWO herds of cats... ;-)

Holy Cow - Field Day...look at those ribbons!
Band Party

Today the band and drum line had a party. All band and drum line members could go from 12:45-1:45. Nicole and I started walking there, no Kaitlyn or David. Mrs. Melton was talking to Kaitlyn and David was busy playing kickball. Kaitlyn caught up with us, but no David. We arrive in the band hall and Nick Kontilis was in the room with Austin Anthis, Josh Craig was with them. Mr. Turner came in Austin and Josh were drinking a drink. Still no David. Everyone is here, still no David. We pray and dig into the cupcakes. I had three vanilla with chocolate and something to drink.Still no David. We all are having fun, but still no David. By then I thought David would be there, I knew that he knew about the party. 1:30 finally came, but no David. I stopped worrying by 1:00. 1:45. CLASS DISMISSED. David missed the party. We head to Spanish class all hyper. No David, bathroom. He thought the party was at 2:45, drum line time. No drinks or cupcakes when I got there, I was out of school. Mrs. Wilson had a class, so I went next door. Caleb Roberts and Jacob Henderson were in there, two drummers. They said Mrs. Wilson was in rage, anger, she gave an infraction to someone who didn't have something he needed. She checked on us and said Jacob looked like he was guilty of something, I was a little scared. 3:30 came, school was out. I was so happy. In field day I placed 1st twice, 2nd five times, and 3rd three times, and everyone got a participation ribbon.

Baby Proofing - Step One...and a few more...
So the plan for baby proofing was moved up a bit. Anita and Matthew came by to help today - Matthew was a HUGE help. He moved all the 'not Sarah friendly' stuff out of the room and then vacuumed all the carpeted areas AND the kitchen areas. He even used the wand in the kitchen areas to get in those little nooks and cranny's that babies hands will get into.
We brought the book shelf that we were planning to get rid of into the living room and put Sarah's Toys on it - and we ended up with quite a nice outcome!

I actually sat on the floor and put the gate up - thanks to Brad for having the right stuff needed to make it attach in the right fashion. This is a swinging gate going out of the kitchen. It lets us in and out without having to climb over the gate. I picked it up at a garage sale for $10. $40 brand new at Babies R Us. ;-)
All the outlets are covered - so no sticking any of the metal objects we leave lying around into them... *grin*
This is the hallway view - blocked off so that she can't get to that area. So at this point we keep the doors closed in the hallway, laundry room door closed and the other two areas gated off and she has a super large area to play in.

Apparently she thought we were hiding something under the rug...so she was checking it out...lol
Tori is also being super helpful - she's making herself dinner tonight. Mac & Cheese. Tori hasn't cooked much - something I'm going to have to change - and so making Mac & Cheese tonight was a trial and error bit... she threw the noodles in before the water started boiling, so I had her dump the water out and restart the water to boil. So when she got to the part that said 'drain the noodles' she said she'd done that part already - so she added milk/water/butter to the water... oops.

So she's on her 2nd package - and this one looks like it'll be perfect. She's even adding extra cheese for her and Sarah to enjoy.

Should have done my babysteps...
I stepped in a wet spot/oily spot, my knee twisted, and I went down. I spent the next few minutes screaming in agony. It hurt. I mean that scream out loud cause you don't have a choice...
I left my cell phone at home - and I knew just a couple numers by heart.. Obviously need to memorize some additional numbers... I called Brad... and asked him to call Kelsey or Victoria. I could tell it was bad. I honestly thought I'd broken something.
I called David - he was the closest and could bring me my cell phone.
So - a trip to the ER, a pair of crutches, a knee immobilizer, a prescription for Vicodin and instructions to follow up with an orthopedic surgeon. So - a weekend on the couch is my punishment. Or is it my gift? I don't 'normally' get to lay around all day.
Sarah likes the immobilizer - all the velcro straps and stuff - and her playing with it was JUST fine, til she fell forward and hit my knee cap and I hollered. I couldn't help it - I started crying - Tori asked a half dozen times - Mom are you Ok? Mom are you Ok? Needless to say - I got a BIT more cautious of letting her climb around my leg...
She's standing up and walking on her own...and she'll take a couple steps - and then drop down to crawl. I have all the stuff to baby proof - and just need to get it up. I'm going to block off the area to the kitchen with the gate that unlatches - and then use the pressure 'doesn't move' gate in the other area. That 'should' let her have the run of the house enough - and be safe enough - that she should just love it. She likes it when she just gets to crawl all around the house.
Tori has been a HUGE help today - and last night... just a huge help.

Talking to Daddy
Brad called while we were playing with Sarah in the living room. So I put him on speaker - it was TOO cute.
Movie Time
While that uploads.
Had a great day - Buster stopped by to check out a cable issue on the lighting equipment. He showed me how to modify a landscape picture that is over/under exposed. Talk about awesome. He also told me to switch to manual focus - which will take care of the auto focus issue I had with the panoramic shot I tried to take on our trip.
Apparently it was the strawberries - Sarah's diaper rash is clearing up.
We went to Tori's school tonight for His Heart, Their Art show tonight. They had some REALLY nice sidewalk chalk drawings. Unfortunately due to my issue with my dead nikon battery - I wasn't able to take pictures. And honestly - while the camera that I've borrowed is working - I hate the pictures it takes. Apparently now I'm a camera snob. ;-)
Tori got a 97 on her history test. She said that she wrote her answer 'exactly' like it was in the book - but the teacher marked 2 points off for 'incomplete sentence' - I'm withholding my opinion until I see it.

Wednesday - 10am
Here's a couple of Sarah eating breakfast this morning:
Long morning so far - Sarah woke up early - and my alarm went off WAY to early for my tastes. But I got up, made the bed, got a shower, and straightened the bathroom. I came out to my really awesomely cleaned kitchen. Made for a much better morning.
Took Tori to school - she forgot her lunch - oops.
I weighed in today - 199.2. Talk about starting your day off right? ;-) I called Ray about 8:50 to check on his ETA - and he was apparently crashed out on the couch. OOPS. He'll be here tomorrow. Which oddly enough, worked out perfectly - b/c right before I called him - Veronica msg'd me saying 'can I make it Thurs & Fri?' apparently they had a rough night.
There goes my workout for today.... I was feeling so darn energized as well. I'm going to go run after work - maybe put Sarah in her buggy and take her with me.
Sarah ate shredded wheat and formula for breakfast, and then had a strawberry sliced up into bite sized pieces. She loves it. Unfortunately though - she has another diaper rash. One of the 'don't wipe my butt cause it hurts' kind. Uggghh. I put the antifungal stuff on last night, and it seemed to help - not so red this morning. But now she has a rash on her inner thighs though... I'm wondering if she's having a reaction to the strawberries. I'll probably keep her off of them for a couple days and see how it reacts.
Tori hit her knee REALLY hard at school day before yesterday - heres the picture:
OUCH!!! It looks a bit better today than it did yesterday. But you can tell it's going to be a bit ugly...
